THE HOUSE
Built around a spacious 19th century farmhouse the home was fully renovated and a custom major addition was constructed in 1994. The ground floor houses a family room, library, open kitchen, dining room, sunroom a powder room and two wood burning fireplaces. The second floor houses a master bedroom with master bathroom and a wood burning fireplace as well as three additional bedrooms, a second bathroom and a laundry room. The basement houses the home heating and cooling infrastructure, water purification units, a gym, full bathroom, wet steam room, workshop, pool change room and a temperature controlled wine cellar. Recent renovation and upgrades in 2022 include new windows on the east side of the house and two new high efficiency propane furnaces.
THE FAMILY ROOM
The family room has wide plank pine floors and a deep fireplace.
All the stones for the fireplace were collected from the fields behind the house.
New sliding oversized glass doors open to a large deck that takes in the long view
to the east.
THE LIBRARY
The library has a deep wood burning fireplace and wall of shelving for books with
a built in television set.
THE KITCHEN
The open concept kitchen was designed with chefs in mind. It features high-
end appliances including Wolf ovens, Sub Zero fridge, Miele dishwasher, Décor
gas cooktop and two large and very functional custom built pantries.
DINING ROOM
The dining room is decorated in a French salon style with hand stencilled walls and
a grey wash on the original wainscoting.
SUNROOM
The Sunroom has the long easterly view that overlooks gardens, the swimming
pool, tennis court and the pond set against a massive forest in the distance.
PRIMARY BEDROOM
The large primary bedroom has an open concept with 10-foot ceilings and an
attached bathroom that overlooks the long eastern view.
GUEST BATHROOM
The guest bathroom also features a clawfoot tub with the long easterly view.
UPPER HALLWAY
The upper hallway connects the four bedrooms, the laundry room and the guest
bathroom of the second floor. The entry to the Primary bedroom features 8-foot antique doors.
WORKING OFFICE
The two station working office is fully wired and functionally designed for a comfortable and ideal remote work environment.
